Quick Apple Crumble
2 granny smith apples
8 sultanas
2 teaspoons castor sugar
1 pinch of cinnamon
2 tablespoons melted butter
1/2 cup of crushed plain biscuits (e.g. Milk Arrowroot, Morning
Coffee)
1 carton of thick cream, whipped
3 drops of vanilla essence
Makes approx. 4 servings
1. Peel, core and chop apples into small cubes.
2. In a saucepan, heat apples and sugar until the apples become
slightly soft - approx. 15 mins. Allow to cool and stir in cinnamon.
Place in a serving bowl.
3. Crush biscuits until they form fine crumbs. Mix in melted butter
to form a dry crumbly mixture. Place in a serving bowl.
4. Stir in vanilla essence into the whipped cream.
At the raclette grill:
Place a spoonful of apple onto a pan and add some crumble mixture
and place under the raclette grill until the top becomes slightly
crispy.
Serve with a spoonful of whipped cream.
