Camembert Raclette
This classic and delicious recipe can be described as "Cheese Cordon
Bleu".
For 4 persons
- 2 baguette loaves
- 250g Camembert Cheese
- 1 egg
- 6 tbsp dry breadcrumbs
- 8 tbsp Cranberry sauce
- 1/2 iceberg lettuce (optional)
- 1 tbsp butter
Lightly beat egg and add breadcrumbs and butter to form a dry type mixture(add
more breadcrumbs if necessary), place in serving bowl. Slice camembert
into 1cm slices and place on dish. Place Cranberry sauce in small serving
bowls. Wash and dry lettuce and cut into pan sized pieces and place in
bowl. Bring all the ingredients to the table.
At the grill: place a lettuce leaf in the pan and add a slice of camembert
with the breadcrumb mixture over the top and grill until the topping
crisps a little. While the meal is grilling place a slice of bread
onto the top grill plate to toast slightly on both sides. Serve
meal over bread and a spoonful of cranberry sauce.
